Breaking Ideas 4 - esports, yes esports
Esports
yes esports
Esports have made their way into the current culture of daily activities turned into professional events. Personally I enjoy esports because there are people around the world who can play certain video games better than me and make it look fun.
All the way back from World Champion Series StarCraft and WCS StarCraft II is where I pay attention in esports then onto League of Legends today. There are other games that made into their esports like DOTA 2 and the International then Overwatch with Overwatch League.
Esports is spreading out and millions of people are watching them every week like anyone would for a game of football and soccer.
On Polygon there is an opinion piece from a perspective of someone who has no interest of sports like football but has a huge passion for League of Legends Championship Series. The writer Ryan Gilliam wrote about his mother being a Chiefs fan in football and how her reactions and joy towards a sport is the same for anyone who is a fan of team Cloud 9 in League of Legends.

The way esports are heading is that streaming platforms are making it easier to watch events and replays on Youtube channels that anyone can jump into at anytime. Some mornings I would watch the brazilian League of Legends streams to see how the south american teams play and then once the Champion Series happen I would watch a match whenever I can.
Sport fans are the same, for example, the enthusiasm of a competitive event live and unpredictable when you cheer that everyone else around you cheering as well. The technical knowledge of how players perform alone and teamwork can be fun to research, the observation of sports are the same method of understanding an esport game itself.
League of Legend is a free to play game where I played dozen of hours into it that watching a professional game of League of Legends lead into watching in awe. The way players each achieve that goal in a faster, efficient and perform with a team all at once. Esports are not taking over but are becoming a place where anyone who enjoys certain video games and the games played well to cheer with like minded people around the world.
It is becoming the norm and sits along with sports as we see it today.
For what esports offer and become over the years there has been phenomenal stories told from within tournaments and events surrounding video games.
This Waypoint article is about this one specific team and how they were at last place and become champions after months of internal problems. This is one example of how relatable this has become of how the players manage with hardships earning a place to play at the best tournaments. It explains the structure of what the esport of this one video game is about and how to understand each player perspective.

There are more people explaining how this can be a thing.
How video games started as home entertainment and become large events around the world can be hard to see at first but over time it was easy to tell that these video games can be fun to watch and play. The competitive nature of certain video games made it possible to grow as a tournament to let the best players win and earn as a living.
The best part of watching esports are the community of how each game develops and lets it be known that this is real, each player, commentator, fan and the production of how all of this can be fun and has it faults too.
Game developers have strong ideas that making an esport organization is a big hurdle to build the game itself but also the people who can run these type of events. Video games come in all shapes and sizes, literally as they are made from ideas that people will enjoy the game and esports fits in other areas that can be filled as well.
Depending on what specific video games is an esport already because the game developers have huge resources to acquire the foundation to grow and work with the audience to make this real. As technology grows so do video games which lead into streaming games and how people are able to interact from different perspectives.
This is huge even for myself writing about this topic in the first place and how this functions. Maybe another time I will talk about esports as it grows and how it evolves too.
Thanks for reading, Peace!
