Mumble Media 1.0
This is the 1.0 edition where last one was a test post of how the format might work. It would not make sense for myself to have the post from 0.2, 0.3 etc. when the entire written format would not organize the right way in my folders. Since the mumbles are a weekly based the post are made for one spot on the internet to be read then time off until the next update. The time in between is for research as I do not have the best connections of getting the best lucrative news all the time.
AR vs VR
On the last mumble I written a bit about VR and how Oculus one of the VR sets that have made the first step into releasing their product this year. As Virtual reality made a ton of progress of the years the other type of technology is Augmented Reality. The one company that is taking the idea of creating a headset that could display screens on walls, tables or fridges too is Microsoft’s HoloLens. There is a few test build and beta footage displaying what a user of HoloLens could see at different conferences. E3 2015 Microsoft conference has shown the HoloLens and the video games Minecraft on a table interacting with hand gestures and voice commands.
Here is a link to Microsoft HoloLens concept video.
Recently Microsoft given more information on the limits where HoloLens is at and has given information that dev kits would be available early this year. More developers on this the better it could become.
More Information on that here is the link.

VR is cool and has amazing potential for media to be immerse at a higher level. I especially like what Microsoft is doing with HoloLens and in favour for that headset over a VR. the Idea for Augmented reality is cool but it must have a purpose or else it would be a hobby grade toy that has little support in a short life time. The Hololens speaks to me that the type of information that I can display at any moment that could surround my own environment can be efficient to my work style. If possible I can display 4 screens on my walls instead of relying on the two current monitors I have. I can process information with a better view on several software at one time. That is one small example I can give as Microsoft has yet to give dev kits out for HoloLens and the release window for this headset.
I know this sound like a VR centric post but so far I think it is the coolest thing about technology right now.
Oscars season
This time of the year is when awards shows are blasting across the web where the best movies, tv show are celebrated from last year. The Oscars themselves are set February 28 this year to present the best movies of 2015.

I would like to keep this short as movies and tv shows are entrenched in the current culture that could be seen as subjective nominations. Personally I have watch too many indie movies that I had no time to watch all the big ones. I do try and catch up what I missed but I might watched them at a later date then who cares then. This might be the only time the Oscars would be the main subject but who knows really?
That is it for this week so if there is any motion to talk about AR or more VR please leave comment on this post.
