I Run To Video

A friend of mine asked me for help to make videos for his start-up clothing line.  This is a clothing line based in Toronto, Canada by the name "I Run To".  At the beginning of the video you can recognize the logo with the graphic at the start.

The idea of the video was to show the behind the scenes of how I Run To conducts its own photography shoot.  Having constant communication between the director and photographer help ease the schedule with the models.  As everyone try to keep their spirits the energy in very high in the studio.  Every single person there including my self had a lot of fun even while working on set.

For the technical portion of this projects it is all focus on videography.  With time ahead I had storyboards ready as how each shot is taken and determine how much time I can get between models.  There was one down side during the shoot where I had little time with each model so plans had to change.  As always everyone need to have a backup plan.  If there was one plan things can go bad, real fast.

Thanks to planning ahead I had to focus more time on post-production as I gather all the footage together.

I had film this with two different camera, one my DSLR Nikon D5100 and my cell phone.  I have a galaxy nexus GT-i9250m as my cell phone.  Thanks to smart phones these days I have many options on the video recording on my phone.  I was able to match almost the same settings to have a easier way to edit.

I edit in Adobe Premier Pro CS6 for the entire video.  With both my DSLR and cell phone footage I had some work to go through.  Thanks again that smart phones have high pixel ratio where the size is not that different.  I work with color-correction most of the time to match both cell phone and DSLR footage together.

Between a smart phone and a DSLR when the subject is video is that one is more desired than the other.  Only because a DSLR has more features when it comes to the technical execution.

But a smart phone is great for principle shooting, as practice how to shoot footage.
